This precious pup was left for dead, abandoned in the closet of an empty apartment, by her “owner”. ? No food, no water, for who knows how long. Thankfully concerned neighbors reported Athena’s cries for help and the ex-roommate of the owner was notified. You can hear his heart breaking for her when he finds her in the video. ?
? We are continually amazed at the resilience of abused and neglected animals and Athena the warrior pup is one more to add to the long list that have come through MFP’s doors. In one day with her foster her sweet disposition has been on display with both people and other doggo friends. She is eating and drinking with vigor and she has found her tired, raspy voice, letting out a howl when she needs to go out to potty.
?? We know that Athena’s recovery journey will be long but her warrior heart ?will lead her to the finish line. Oh, what a joyous day it will be to see her fully recovered, living her best life with a family that loves and cherishes her, keeping her safe and comfortable, and maybe spoiling her just a little. ?
