Ernest is a poodle mix! He’s about 10 years old. He came from a horrible hoarding case where all the dogs were completely matted and malnourished. They lived outside and were neglected.
Ernest is a sweet dog who is ready to take life on! He’s ready for a patient home with lots of love and understanding of what he’s been through. Ernest just needs a quiet home to chill out the rest of his life. He primarily sleeps but when he's awake he can be the sweetest thing. He does have vision impairment so his adopter will need to take extra care to teach him how to live in his surroundings. Will you be his forever caregiver?

My name is Ernest, but my friends call me Ernie! I'm a 14-ish-year-old Poodle mix with a heart full of love and a life full of naps. I might be a senior dog, but that just means I have a lot of wisdom and cuddles to share!
A little about me:
- I'm a laid-back, confident, and loving old gentleman.
- I get along great with big and small dogs alike! 🐶🐕
- I’m house trained and leash trained, so I'm ready for our strolls in the yard.
My favorite activities:
- Sleeping (I snooze about 22 hours a day!)
- Exploring the yard and enjoying the sunshine
- Snuggling up with my humans for head and belly rubs before bedtime
‼️I am older and have some medical issues that I need a little extra care for! That just means that I’m special and need a home that can take care of me
My ideal home:
- A place with a backyard where I can explore and bask in the sun
- A loving person or family who understands the needs of a senior dog and can give me the gentle care I deserve
- Someone with a soft bed and cozy blankets for me to snuggle into

All Dogs/ Puppies/ Cat/ Kittens are up to date on everything as far as vaccines Spay/Neuter and Flea/Heartworm Prevention. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there is a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home. Adoption fee -Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Mercy Full Project cover vet bills, maintain their facility and cover the cost of their operations to rescue more animals in need
