Lucy

Hi! My Name Is Lucy

Lucy is a very smart, active girl who is very loyal to her people, however, she can be reactive/fearful. Not a fan of men. She has had lots of training including a 6 week board and train and private lessons. She knows many commands: sit, down, stay, roll over, high five, spin, place and leave it, walks well on a leash and is housebroken and crate trained. She goes to doggie day care and the Vet with no issues. She loves the outdoors, playing fetch, running, and playing with other dogs. Would make a great working/farm dog or agility dog. Unfortunately, I am financially and emotionally drained. I went to my Vet with my frustrations and she put her on fluoxetine which she currently takes to help with her reactivity but she needs someone who can put in the time to work with her. Having a young busy family makes it hard to devote the time she needs.. She is 100% healthy, up to date of shots, spayed, well cared for, on flee and heartworm prevention. I have tried to rehome her myself, however, these dogs get lost on rehoming sights, especially when your honest. We love her very much, but, we cannot keep her because she is not good with young children and I have 2 young daughters. I have reached out to other rescues within pinellas and unfortunately, they are unable to take her at this time.
