Deciding that your pet needs a new home is never easy — and finding the right path forward can feel overwhelming. At Mercy Full Project, we’re here to support you through this process with compassion, expertise, and no judgment.
Here’s how we can help:
Explore other options first. We’ll walk you through resources to help you keep your pet — like low-cost medical care, behavior support, or food assistance.
Submit the surrender form below. Doing so doesn’t guarantee placement, but it helps us assess whether your pet is a good fit for our program.
What we’ll evaluate:
• Do we have an available foster home?
• Is your cat or dog suited to our rescue guidelines?
If approved, we’ll coordinate the transition with you and our foster team to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety.
We understand this is a difficult moment — but you’re not alone. Together, we can make sure your cat or dog is placed in a home where they will be loved and cared for.
Keeping pets safe, supported, and out of shelters.
At Mercy Full Project, we understand that sometimes families face difficult situations that make it hard to continue caring for their pets. While surrendering is often seen as the only option, it doesn’t have to be. That’s why we created the MFP Stay Home Rehoming Program—a compassionate, supportive system that helps owners keep their pets safe at home while we work together to find them a new, loving family.
Instead of placing pets into an already full rescue system or risking surrender to a shelter, the animal stays in their current home, where they feel familiar and less stressed.
The Stay Home Rehoming Program allows us to help even more animals during a time when shelters and rescues across Florida are overwhelmed with unwanted litters and abandoned pets.
MFP Stay Home Rehoming is built on compassion. On understanding. On the belief that every pet deserves a safe and loving home—and that families deserve support in making responsible decisions for their animals.
If you or someone you know needs help rehoming a pet but wants to avoid surrendering to a shelter, we’re here to help.
